Posture Demo – Inferno Hot Pilates – SIDE LEG LIFT SQUAT

Boost that heart rate and strengthen the legs! We absolutely love this movement in our IHP classes because it’s a great compound movement that adds time under tension to your leg muscles.

Here’s how we do Squat Side Leg Lifts:
🔥 Begin standing, belly in shoulders back and down.
🔥 Inhale, squat.
🔥 Exhale, lift the right leg out to the side.
🔥 Inhale, squat back to center.
🔥 Exhale, lift the left leg out to the side.
🔥 Inhale, squat back to center.

🔑 Keep your focus on lifting the leg, not kicking it out!

We intensify this movement with a band in our IHP Spiked classes. It’s not necessary to add it, but it certainly will amplify the movement.
